Abstract
We report a study of the low-temperature properties of the ternary europium pnictide EuZn2Sb2. Bulk properties were characterized in terms of the electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, Hall effect, specific heat and magnetization. Pronounced features consistent with antiferromagnetic order of divalent Eu below TN=13.3K are observed. For field parallel to the trigonal c-axis the antiferromagnetism is suppressed above ∼3.5T while it persists up to ∼4.7T for field in the basal plane.
