Abstract

Within the ramework of a multi-year research project, the different sources of damping were analyzed, models were identified and integrated into an overall model of a machine tool. In this way, influences from structural components, feed drive components including friction, control and movement were taken into account. Thus, the forecast ac-curacy in the simulation of the dynamic behavior could be increased.
