Abstract
This article is the second of two articles dealing with the simulation of the traffic on the A9 Munich Autobahn (see Figure 1). The first article covered the assembling of data and the calibration of the FREQ model while this second article covers the model's applications for traffic management investigations. A short summary of the calibration results is followed by a description of selected investigations and their impacts on traffic performance measures. The first article was published in the September issue of TEC.
