title = "Shear capacity of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams without stirrups",
abstract = "From literature test data of steel fiber reinforced beams without stirrups were collected. It is differentiated between steel fiber reinforced concrete beams without and with prestressing. From a research project and a literature search test results without steel fibers and without stirrups are consulted. These are compared with steel fiber reinforced concrete beams. Based on the test results the analytical approach according to the new German guideline is evaluated. Test specimens with steel fibers are reaching higher ultimate shear forces than test specimens without steel fibers. The results for calculated shear force are on the safe side. They show potential for optimization of the analytical approach. To analyze this in detail, the main parameters concrete compressive strength, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, effective depth and web width will be analyzed. For prestressed beams just a few test results are available so no real conclusion can be given.",
