Abstract

The separability properties of density operators acting on C2⊗CN and with positive partial transpose were studied. A necessary and sufficient criterion for separability of generic low-rank density operators ρ was derived. The resulting criterion requires findings roots of complex polynomials, that give rise to all the product vectors in the ranges of ρ and ρT(A).
