Abstract
We evaluate the scattering amplitude at next-to-leading order in chiral perturbation theory. We discuss the conventional approach of the pseudoscalar Goldstone bosons (, K, ) only and an extension including explicit resonance fields. The contributions of these resonances saturate the low-energy constants at order E4. We present predictions for the scattering lengths and phase shifts of the low partial waves.
