Abstract

Predictions of a mode-coupling theory for the liquid-glass transition are examined by analytical and numerical techniques. Explicit results for the scaling function determining the dynamic response functions near the transition are given. The quasi-elastic contribution to the spectrum of the liquid is shown to be compatible with a Kohlrausch law.
