Abstract

Imaging, target volume delineation and treatment planning for the heterogenous group of soft tissue sarcoma, osteosarcoma and related lesions is a fascinating and challenging task. Such tumors are characterized by low incidence and variable location and proximity to nearby organs at risk. Treatment is multidisciplinary and complex in nature. With modern radiotherapy technology, conformal normal-tissue-sparing dose distributions can be created, both in pre- and postoperative situations. This chapter contains more than 10 detailed cases from the authors’ clinical practice.
