Abstract
This paper presents a saturated, soft variable-structure controller. The aim of the controller is a nearly time-optimal transfer of linear systems with input saturation into a desired equilibrium point. For this purpose feedback gains are used which lead in large areas of the state-space to a saturated input signal. The dynamic and the robustness of the controller can be tuned transparently by two parameters; the numercial effort is considered as comparatively low.
