Abstract

A high performance but unstable electromagnetic shaker is presented enabling high trajectory tracking for realistic vibration tests. Based on a detailed system model and a primary load model of an industrial application example (car seat) an observer-based PI state controller achieves robust stability and noiseless operation. Feed-forward control (frequency sampling) ensures high command quality without extensive modelling effort. Simulation and experiments prove the exact vibration excitation independently of test objects.
