Abstract

The first rings to contain the structural unit PCP have been obtained by reaction of Ph₂PCH₂PPH₂ with Br(CH₂)_nBr (n = 2, 3, 4). The chemical properties and the bond lengths and angles in carbodiphosphorane with n = 2 are best described by the following formulation: (Figure Presented.)
