Abstract

InSertlon of sulfur dioxide into the three-membered framework of the dimetallacyclopropane-type methylene complex (µ-CH2)[(η5-C5Me5)Rh(CO)]2 cleanly yields the first example of coordinated sulfene, CH2SO2, in the course of a three- to four-membered ring expansion reaction.
