Abstract

InSertlon of sulfur dioxide into the three-membered framework of the dimetallacyclopropane-type methylene complex (µ-CH₂)[(η⁵-C₅Me₅)Rh(CO)]₂ cleanly yields the first example of coordinated sulfene, CH₂SO₂, in the course of a three- to four-membered ring expansion reaction.
