Abstract

Fiber-reinforced composites are a lightweight material that is used in increasing industrial applications. In the aerospace industry, which uses mainly pre-impregnated fibers, so-called prepregs, large efforts are undertaken to ensure compliance with the cold chain for these materials as well as their documentation. For this reason, in this paper a system to ensure and document the cold chain is presented that relies on the use of RFID technology.
