Restoration of menstrual function after transsphenoidal excision of a nonfunctioning pituitary microadenoma

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This is a case report of a patient with a nonfunctioning pituitary microadenoma causing a hypogonadotropic estrogen deficient state. After surgical removal of the tumor, estrogen levels rose, and the patient became responsive to clomiphene citrate and conceived. This case is unique because the interference with normal gonadotropic function was not due to hyperprolactinemia.
