Abstract

Non-pharmacological interventions in the context of the corona-pandemia also prevented the contact with any respiratory pathogens, which is necessary for the physiological immunstimulation. Facing the deletary impact on pediatric health, such political restrictions should be discussed critically in the future. In obstructive respiratory problems occuring in the context of viral infections, it is important to clarify for further action whether the symptoms are more likely to be viral-induced obstructive bronchitis or recurrent obstructive bronchitis with bronchial hyperreactivity, so that appropriate therapy can be initiated. Early treatment is of great importance for successful therapy. Parents should therefore be instructed in case of recurrent complaints, as they must initiate or extend the therapy depending on the course. A correct and adequate inhalation technique must also be checked or arranged and parents must be informed about any medication outside the authorisation.
