Abstract

We report on a novel, purely vibrational pump-repump-probe spectroscopy technique to access the overtones of the OH stretching in isolated HDO molecules. Approaching higher-lying states, a continuous decrease of the energy separation and a reduction of the respective lifetimes is observed.
