Abstract
In this paper, we will explore the approximation characteristics of sampling series of signals that are concentrated only in a finite time interval. Users frequently express the opinion that the sampling series approximate the signal better and better as the selected difference of the sampling time decreases. We will show that this is not true and specify signals, for which the sequence of the sampling series diverges everywhere without limitations. Furthermore, it will become apparent that the convergence of the sampling series sequence depends on the location of the signal on the real axis.
