Abstract

In many fields of technique it is necessary to recover continuous signals from their samples taken at discrete instants. This article presents a new algorithm which allows the reconstruction of a bandlimited signal from its not necessarily regularly spaced sampling instants and the recovery of the Hilbert-transformed of the signal, too. The new algorithm also applies to two-dimensional signals, as used in digital image processing. The convergence of the algorithm with respect to the signal itself as well as to its Hilbert-transformed is demonstrated by an example.
