title = "Reducing waste in product development by use of multi-domain matrix methodology",
abstract = "This paper investigates an alternative methodology for waste reduction in Product Development (PD) projects which utilizes a Multi-Domain Matrix (MDM). Waste in PD processes originates from different domains. On the other hand, MDM are considered a potential tool for inter- and intra-domain analysis. In order to explore the potential of MDM in waste elimination, the relation between complexity and waste is first established. This relation is taken into account to develop an MDM waste reduction methodology. Lastly, the impact of the proposed methodology on different types of waste is explored.",
