Abstract
A thermoelectric module or Peltier module is a non-linear device that operates as a heat pump and can be controlled by electric current. A linear dynamic model that varies with operating condition is employed to describe the characteristic of the Peltier module. The procedure for estimating the model parameters is outlined. The effectiveness of the model is verified experimentally in the laboratory using a specially mounted characterization platform.
