Abstract

Recurrence is a fundamental property of dynamic systems related to the ability of the system at some point to return to a similar state, and recurrence plot analysis (RPA) is a method to visualize them. This work proposes using RPA as a preprossessing technique for power electronic systems (PES) waveforms to provide a way to implement automatic detection of anomaly conditions that can be performed in conjunction with machine learning algorithms. This paper analyzed theoretical waveforms and practical implementation using a function generator emulating some waveforms in power electronic systems.
