Abstract
The article describes a bi-directional, temporally constant integration of computer aided design and computer aided calculation. All calculations of the development process are mapped in the product model constantly from the early to the late phases, whereby the calculation regulations and the mapped requirements are active at each time and exert influence on the design shape. During the entire product development process the technical designer operates with only one calculation model and can monitor the effects of parameter modifications to the entire product from early phases onward. Interactions of mutually influencing calculations are considered by an extended product model with the integration of a mathematical Solver under the control by the integrated construction System INKA.
