Abstract

This paper proposes an on-line estimation technique to determine a set of four basic parameters [rsr,ls,σls] of a three phase induction machine. The linear regression models are derived from the dynamic machine model. With the proposed approach, all the parameters, except the stator resistance, rs, are estimated using only PWM voltage sinusoidal waveform. This study enables one to (i) re-tune on-line the controller of the induction machine which has been detuned due to changes in the machine parameter and (ii) to construct a parameter mapping of the induction machine in terms of its operating points. Several experimental results of the proposed approach in the modeling of a three phase induction machine are presented.
