Abstract
Two new second-order active filter sections, capable of realizing high pole-Q's, are presented. The first circuit is an advanced analog computer realization. The other network applies the allpass-loop principle. Design formulae are given. Both canonic niter sections offer low sensitivities and need only two operational amplifiers to realize the general biquadratic transfer function. They allow an economic realization of highly selective filters in a multiple feedback, as well as in a cascade arrangement. The qualities of the new circuits are demonstrated by an example.
