Abstract

Rationalization in masonry construction is also possible in the planning and masonry techniques utilized. In the planning of these for example by reverting to the grid dimensions of the masonry construction (12.5 cm) and thereby dispensing with subsequent caulking work, e.g. for wall slots. Masonry techniques enable a rationalization through the use of larger stone formats and auxiliary equipment for laying the masonry structures. Such auxiliary tooling for laying stone of larger format (25 kg upwards) is already prescribed in Germany [1]. Auxiliary laying equipment and robots in particular, differ according to their applications, both at the building site and prefabricated at the plants.
