Abstract
R30 with hot-dip galvanized steel and composite constructions – design aids. Research results of the Technical University of Munich [1–5] showed that a hot-dip galvanizationhas a positive influence on the heating behaviour of steel components of categories A and B in case of fire. The reason for the slower heating is a smaller, variable emissivity of hot-dip galvanized surfaces compared to non-galvanized steel components. On behalf of the Gemeinschaftsausschuss Verzinken e. V., design aids have been developed to allow a practical and easy application of the research results.
