Abstract
The two modular test units SONOR 2 and IKON 1 from IST GmbH, Munich, allow continuous crack and surface-flaw detection in ceramic products as part of the quality assurance, programme. In addition, variations in the quality of the material can be identified. Based on many years' experience in the roof tile industry, other ceramic products, such as casting filters and refractory brikks have meanwhile been successfully tested.
