Abstract
Acute bronchoconstriction was induced in a patient with known allergic bronchial asthma by inhalation of the antigen. Shortly after the bronchodilator salbutamol was inhaled. The dynamics of the pulmonary circulation was analysed and compared with that of 10 patients with chronic obstructive disease before and after administration of salbutamol. In both the pulmonary vascular resistance decreased without special increase of the heart rate.
