Abstract
Users rely on pseudonymous identities in the form of addresses in blockchain networks. Similar to the Domain Name System, novel applications map domains to these addresses but face bootstrapping and domain squatting issues. As an alternative, we propose using established domain names by leveraging Public Key Infrastructures. We include existing naming services in our analysis and evaluate strengths and limitations. Our approach seeks to improve user experience and security in blockchains.
