Abstract

Within the public founded ProMeKreis project we developed methods for recyclingfriendly design, which are available as a guideline ("Leitfaden für die recyclinggerechte Produktent-wicklung"). This guideline is meant as a comprehensible, compact tool for the development of products, allowing for easy refurbishing, upgrading and/or utilisation. Focus on systematical investigation and optimisation of utilisation processes with respect to the processed goods results in a significant improvement of the design process with respect to utilisation (concept of "utilisation classes").
