Abstract

During the last decade, a rapid progress of phased-array radar systems for military as well as for civilian applications can be observed. New huge programs - also in Europe - are technological drivers in this field. It's the aim of this paper to give a short overview on challenging radar tasks to be performed with phased-array radar, main applications of ground-, ship-, air- and space-based systems, key technologies, and approaches for future applications.
