Abstract

Manufacturing companies are facing an intense competition, which is defined by both costs and innovation. In order to maintain the production capability of these companies and to be able to react efficiently to the dynamically changing competitive environment, it is necessary to identify production-related deficits at an early stage. In this work, a corresponding approach based on scenario analysis and megatrends is presented.
