Abstract

A description is given for the preparation of a 59Ni sputter target in a cesium-beam sputter source. With this source a negative 59Ni beam (~ 60 nA) was produced. The 59Ni was accelerated to an energy of 253 MeV by the Munich tandem-postaccelerator system.
