Abstract
Vaporization of ternary III-V mixtures is shown to provide a convenient source of the Group V heteronuclear diatomic molecules. Several such mixtures were vaporized and the vapors condensed in neon matrix and examined by time resolved, laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy. The excitation spectra of AsP and SbP dimers were examined and several new excited electronic transitions were observed and analyzed. The assignment of the new states is discussed and the electronic structure of these molecules reviewed and summarized.
