N2 - Multidimensional (nD) signals can be replaced by 2D sequences of sectional images if they are bandlimited in all but two dimensions. Thus nD signal processing can be replaced by processing these 2D sequences, e.g. by optical computers. Examples are given for 3D spectrum analysis, interpolation and rearrangement of coordinates.
