Abstract

Computer codes differing in structure were used at the HDR for calculating fire scenarios and the data furnished by these codes were compared with each other. The problems encountered in predicting safety related loads on components and on the entire facility are discussed. The experiments conducted at HDR were suited to better define both the fire phenoma occurring and the parameters important in the computation as well as to improve the accuracy of prediction of the methods applied.
