Abstract

To examine the feasibility of prefabrication in existing buildings three test objects on the campus of the Technische Universität München were surveyed using different measuring techniques. For one of the objects, a façade, tailor-made insulation panels were prefabricated using the acquired digital data. The panels were mounted on the object without any further measuring or reworking on site. It could be demonstrated that by using modern measuring technique digital stock data for the prefabrication of tailor-made parts can be achieved on a high level of accuracy.
