Precision (n, γ)-measurements of high energy transitions in the nuclei198Au and199Au

Abstract

Precision measurements of high energy transitions of the reactions197Au(n, γ)198Au and198Au(n, γ)199Au were performed with the pair spectrometer at the High Flux Reactor at Grenoble. The energy calibration was done with well known transition energies in the nuclei13C,28Al and36Cl. Energies and intensities of the measured transitions are given. The Qn-value of198Au and199Au were deduced to be 6,512.32±0.22 keV and 7,584.01 ±0.21 keV respectively.
