Abstract
Recoil due to emission of the 5.5 MeV γ-ray in the fusion reaction pμd → μ3He and dynamical corrections to the Born-Oppenheimer approximation lead to excited muonic states in the final μ3He atom. The branching ratios for the lowest excitations are calculated.
