Abstract

The novel compound 1 contains three gold atoms attached to the same carbon atom. All three AuC distances are approximately equal. A further peculiarity: d¹⁰‐d¹⁰ interactions lead to Au‐Au distances of only ca. 3.2 Å; the tetrahedral angles AuCAu are correspondingly reduced to ca. 100°. (Figure Presented.)
