Abstract

s‐trans Configurated 1,3,‐diphospha‐4‐metallabutadienes 1 form green, air‐stable crystals (M = Mo, W; R = 2,4,6‐tBu3C6H2). When M = W, 1 reacts like butadiene itself with Fe(CO)3 to give the stable complex 2, in which the WPCP moiety is almost planar. (Figure Presented.)
