Abstract

The tunneling levels of OH^- were directly observed by resonant scattering of monochromatic phonons. The data indicate that the OH^- experiences an octahedral crystal field with a 90 degree tunneling parameter Δ = 0.138 meV and a stress splitting parameter α = 6.09 × 10^-24 cm³.
