Abstract

The paper proposes a new method for the periodic stability analysis of wind turbines. The formulation is based on a periodic input-output model, identified on the basis of a suitable excitation sequence. Next, periodic stability theory is used for estimating frequency, damping and participation factors of all harmonics of interest. Examples are shown to illustrate the main features of the proposed method.
