Abstract
A digitised T.V. camera picture series is entered into a data processing installation. From each picture areas are extracted the areas from temporally neighbouring pictures are compared with each other to determine area series that describe objects in the picture series. A three-stage filtering method makes use of parametrised conditions to extract areas. The area features are based on grey-level, slope and direction of adapted planes and can thus describe the grey-level structure within the area. - from IfAG 1980/793/ITC
