Abstract

The overview of ASDEX upgrade results was presented. The ECRH experiments indicated that electron temperature profiles were stiff as predicted by electron temperature gradient turbulence with streamers. The core and edge temperatures were proportional to each other and the plasma energy was proportional to the pedestal pressure for fixed density profiles. The results demonstrated the suitability of tungsten as a material not only at the divertor but also in the main chamber of a fusion device.
