Abstract
OPS-imaging was incorporated into a small, hand held device which is easily transportable (CYTOSCAN). Following this, the CYTOSCAN device was evaluated and validated for microvascular measurements against standard intravital fluorescence microscopy (IFM) in a variety of animal models. The results suggest that OPS-imaging can be used to make quantitative measurements of the microcirculation in animal models as well as in human subjects.
