Abstract

Using a novel technique with polarization resolution the orientational relaxation of anthracene is investigated in the electronic ground state (solvents CCI4, C2Cl4,benzene-dand acetone-d). Time constants of 13-19 ps are measured and discussed in terms of hydrodynamic models.
