Abstract
The HeLit-Schools concept comprises eight standards that describe the organizational health literacy of schools. The standards address different aspects within the school organization to optimize and thus sustainably strengthen health literacy. The comprehensive concept aims at changes in the school via behavior- and environment-oriented measures. The concept supports schools to become health-literate schools and measure its progress.
