Abstract

The magnetotransport of coherently strained La2/3Ba1/3MnO3LBMO films was investigated. The compressive strain in the LBMO films was found to induce anisotropic transport properties at low temperature with metallic and insulating behavior for the current along the ab-plane and c-axis. The results suggested a transition from a orbital disordered, ferromagnetic F state to a canted or disordered F state with C-type antiferromagnetic correlations.
