Abstract

The optimum Q value for the Sn118(O18, O16)Sn120 two-neutron transfer reaction was measured near the Coulomb barrier as a function of incident energy and scattering angle. The experimental results are not reproduced in a satisfactory manner by semiclassical predictions, and only approximately by distorted-wave Born approximation. NUCLEAR REACTIONS Sn118(O18, O16) Sn120, 53 MeV≤E≤62 MeV, measured σ(θ, E); deduced Qopt.
